An entrepreneur who built an automation giant is now the richest person in Japan – and his company is known to pay some of the highest salaries in the country

Takemitsu Takizaki, the founder of sensor-making manufacturer Keyence, is now Japan’s richest man. Keyence, which Takizaki founded in 1974, was recently chosen to enter Japan’s blue-chip stock index.
