Tokyo’s Nikkei share average closes up 0.38 percent

(Reuters) – Japan’s benchmark Nikkei average .N225 closed up 0.38 percent at 22,966.38 on Wednesday, while the broader Topix .TOPX gained 0.42 percent to 1,800.37.
