Nikkei edges down but mining shares soar on Japan-Saudi agreement hopes

Japanese stocks barely moved on Tuesday ahead of an expected US interest rate hike, though shares in the mining sectors got a boost after Japan and Saudi Arabia signed economic cooperation agreements. The Nikkei share average shed 0.1 per cent to 19,619.14 …
